Question by jason: The best way for me to break up with my girlfriend?
Alright so im pretty sure, not 100% sure, but still pretty sure that im ready to break up with my girlfriend who i have been with for 11 months. There is two problems im having, one is i dont know if i really want to truely break up with her, and if i do i dont know the best way. Ok so i find my gf attractive, but she tends to get on my nerves quite often. but she is very caring which is why i think i want to stay with her. shes my first serious gf so maybe theres someone out there thats better for me and i just dont know it. next is going about breaking up. I feel that doing it in person is the most respectable way, but over the past couple months i have realized that i am an awful speaker and the words that come out of my mouth never sound the way they did in my head. When im put on the spot i always get jummbeled up and i sound like an idiot. So i was thinking of writing a break up letter, that way i can think of all the reasons i want to break up, and put them on paper. But i feel like a break up note is one of the worst ways to end a relationship, especially one that has lasted so long (for me personally). please help?

You should always break up in person. Anything else is cowardly. It doesn’t matter how eloquent you are–she’s not going to file your breakup speech in her fond memories. Tell her you think you’ve gotten too serious and want to see other people–and expect her to think you’re being a jerk–because you kind of are. It doesn’t sound like you have any real reason to break up with her, except that you want to play the field. She’ll get over it eventually, and you’ll both find someone else.

So we were together for 2 years, im 16 she’s 17 and today she broke up with me by letter. The letter said that she still had strong feelings for me, but she didnt feel like she was treating me right. About a month ago she said she wanted a break for 2 weeks because she was busy (although she wasnt too busy to talk to other friends while ignoring me and going on her xbox) then after the break was over she pretty much ignored me, i tried calling and texting her but she wouldnt answer back. She would tell me to go hang out with my friends during lunch almost every day, we werent spending time together, only at passing periods which is only about 3 minutes. Well today she gave me the break up letter (which i found really disrespectful that she could not do it to my face) and i didnt really cry, i mean yeah i was a little sad but hey things happen. Well about an hour ago she texted me saying she still loves me and needs a month to find herself. Now im thinking that this is just stupid and that if she were sure she loved me she wouldnt be doing all these things. Im just so confused but angry at her, i think i should just break it off with her if she’s gonna be like this. What would any of you do in this situtation?Are there any red flags in those whole story?

Seriously dude leave her alone she is playing games and if she really cared she wouldn’t of broke up with you.

Question by Adam D: What Type Of Letters Have to Be Picked up at the post office?
Me and my girlfriend just broke up, we’ve ever put both of our names on anything or even been common law but today i have a notice to pick up a letter at the post office, what types of letters do they not leave in a mailbox?
Hm ya im not sure who would send us anything thats why im confused the only thing i did was cancel our RBC insurance but usually RBC just throws it in our box
Thanks all im hoping it from my bank or else this break might be much harder on me

Letters that require a signature, or that are too big to fit in your mailbox.

A letter requires a signature if the sender asks for a return receipt of some sort.

So im in a long distance relationship and itwas going good i put 100% into it except we started to fight recentky and when i came home to see her i thought we resolved it till a few days after she said she needed time to find her feelings. I was confused and didnt know why the only time im home she doesnt even want to be with me. Now my girlfriend is the most loyal girl i have ever met and befor you people start saying theres another guy or shes cheating on me its not true i know her and thats the last thing shed ever do. But I’m just confused she talked to me and told me that she feels bad because I deserve better then her and shes just under alot of stress with us and school. Two days after we broke up she called me at 4 oclock in the morning crying because she couldnt find my basic training letters I wrote to her (I’m a military guy) and she said that if it was here she’d never awnser the phone and thanked me. New Years rolled around and I called her and we talked and I wished her best of luck however the whole week I was debating on if I should give back the promise ring I gave her cuz after we broke up she ended up giving it to me cuz she thought i wanted it which i did at the time. Befor I left yesterday back to my duty station I saw her again and gave her a letter I wrote saying how much I love her and how shes my best friend ever and that this is my last attempt doing anything its up to her now. I also gave her back the ring and told her I wasnt gonna txt her or call her anymore till SHE wants to talk and txt me because I was going on a huge debate on if i should talk and txt her earlier and it made me go crazy. The balls in her court now she means everything to me and I know I do too but its so hard that one sec everything is perfect and then it isnt. Do you think I made the right choice or should I have something different? Will she ever talk to me again or contact me on how shes feeling? I know people always say that after a few months she’ll regret it but do I wait till that time comes or act and try to get her back and talk to her everyday to let her know im there? Last time i talked to her was last night and hopefully last till she wants too. We’ve been thru so much together and she knows it as well. Is there anything I should suspect to happen in the future or just live as if its really over? I love her and shes the girl of my dreams. If you say I should talk to her should I always be the one to txther first or what? I dont wanna feel like im the only one wanting to talk by txting her first. I told her already that I’ll tal to her when she wants to talk to me.
